Recently, Gene Mercer asked if Deadlines could be assigned to Projects in Enterprise PDM and if Notifications could be sent if the Project exceeded the Deadline. Here's a 2:10sec video on how to do this.
Thanks for the question, Gene.

Hi Devon,
Your tips is very useful for me...
Thanks for sharing :)
Hello kholish-
You're welcome.
Devon
Nice one!
Thanks Devon! While your solution was close, it still didn't solve my particular problem. I'm sure other users may gain some help from it though, and it's strange that the 'deadline' isn't mentioned anywhere (I've looked in my PDMWE admin book and on google).
Hi Gene-
Did you look in the 350 page Admin Guide?
Well, that's what I'm trying to accomplish, sharing information.
Thanks again for your feedback, I appreciate it.

Is this using PDM Enterprise 2008 or 2009? I'm using 2008 and I don't see those options on the General Tab.
Also, is there a way to have the vault set to send notifications if a file has stayed in a particular state of the workflow for a period of time. I'm looking for something that wouldn't have to be set up for every file.. something automatic for every file in a particular workflow state. I'm thinking this would have to be a API solution.. but I'm not sure how that would have to work.
Hello Christina-
That's 2008 Enterprise.
Perhaps you don't have 'Permission' (intended or not) to create this Notification?

Hello Devon, I have been looking for this feature, could you please let me know how to get this done in Enterprise PDM. Where do you configure this in the Enterprise PDM admninistration? I have not seen anything like this..so it will be very helpful if you let me know about the configuring the this feature Solidworks Enterprise PDM 2009.
Thanks,
Praveen
